An RCA connector, sometimes called cinch plug or lotus plug, is a type of electrical connector that is commonly used in the audio/video market. The name "RCA" derives from the Radio Corporation of America, which introduced the design by the early 1940s to allow mono phonograph players to be connected to amplifiers.
For many other applications it began to replace the older jack plugs used in the audio world when component high fidelity started becoming popular in the 1950s.
The corresponding plug is called an RCA plug or phono plug, for "phonograph". The name "phono plug" is often confused with a "phone plug" which refers to a jack plug or TRS connector. As with many other connectors, the RCA has been adopted for other uses than originally intended, including as a power connector, an RF connector, and as a connector for loudspeaker cables. Its use as a connector for composite video signals is extremely common, but provides poor impedance matching. RCA connectors and cable are also commonly used to carry S/PDIF-formatted digital audio, with plugs colored orange to differentiate them from other typical connections.

Today,Miss Azura continue teaching us the chapter 6(iii)telecommunication. It is all about the faxsimile system and paging system. The paging system make me pay attention to know more detail about the function and operation. There was three type of paging:numeric pages, alphanumeric pages, and two-way alphanumeric pages. It is different between each other. I know the paging system from the Hong Kong drama when i was small. It is because at that time technology still in embryo.

SCCT1023(A),6SEPT2009,11-12.30pm,DKG3/9

Today, our lovely lecturer Miss Azura continue teaching us chapter 6 with the tittle telecommunication. In this chapter, we can learn more about the different between telephone and cellular phone. Based on the cellular phone technology, we can found that GSM,GPRS,EDGE, UMTS, 4G,Bluetooth and many more. We learn more detail about this chapter.

Today our lecturer continue teaching about telecommunication. In the end of the class, she told us to find what is razaksat and post it at our blog.
Razaksat:
RazakSAT is a high-resolution Malaysian Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite that is scheduled to be launched on board a Falcon 1 in June 2009. It will be put into a unique Near Equatorial Orbit that will present many imaging opportunities for the equatorial region.
The RazakSAT® satellite is planned to be launched near in the future on a USA launcher Falcon 1 owned and operated by the company Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX). It will be a dedicated launch from kwajalein in the Republic of Marshall Islands which is situated very close to the equator to give the best orbital injection for RazakSAT® , i.e. near equatorial orbit (NEqO). RazakSAT®s images would be applied to forestry, fishery, migration and other areas that will benefit the nation.

Today our lecturer continued teaching in class. She need us find about what is topology(mesh and tree),then post it at our blog.
TYPE OF TOPOLOGY:
  1. Mesh topology:The mesh network is self-healing, in that if any disruption occurs (such as a device failing or experiencing interference), data is automatically re-routed. The built-in redundancy of having multiple pathways available helps to make the mesh network both robust and reliable. The network is also self-forming, in that it recognizes and adds new devices as it discovers them. That means that you can extend the size of the network and eliminate weak signals and dead zones simply by adding new devices.
  2. Tree topology:The tree network topology uses two or more star networks connected together. The central computers of the star networks are connected to a main bus. Thus, a tree network is a bus network of star networks.A tree topology combines characteristics of linear bus and star topologies. It consists of groups of star-configured workstations connected to a linear bus backbone cable (See fig. 4). Tree topologies allow for the expansion of an existing network, and enable schools to configure a network to meet their needs.
